What experience do I need?
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with more experience. People with an established artistic practice will find they get a lot of new ideas from the unexpected designs they produce.
What will I make?
You will make an edition of lino printed images in two colours. We’ll be working A6 size on A4 paper, and there will be several different ink colours to choose from. Expect to make an edition of up to 8 prints onto a variety of papers.
Who is my tutor?
Sophie McIntosh is the founder of Hey Ho Print Co. She has been printmaking for over 20 years and running the print studio for 10 years. She has taught Visual Communication at Kingston University and Leeds College of Art and Design.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials will be provided including lino, tools, paper and inks.
If you would like to bring sketchbooks, drawings, photos or other sources of inspiration with you, please do. However, you will also be able to start from scratch with your design on the day.
If I can't attend can I get a refund?
We will refund you if you cancel no less than 14 days before the start of the first session of the course, after this time no refunds will be issued. By making a booking you are agreeing to our full course terms and conditions which can be found on our website.
What if the course is cancelled?
We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason. We will endeavor to give at least 7 days notice if the course is cancelled and in the event of cancellation, we will, of course, issue you a full refund.
Our aim is to bring printmaking to as many people as possible. By their nature, some printmaking processes involve an amount of physical effort. We recognise that everybody’s accessibility needs may differ, therefore please email us email@example.com to discuss any concerns you may have before booking.
Please note: we regret that, for safety reasons, only those over the age of 16 will be permitted to undertake the course.
