What experience do I need?
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with more experience. People with an established artistic practice will find they get a lot of new ideas from the unexpected designs they produce.
What will I make?
You will produce a series of multi-layer screen prints of up to A3 size on paper of textile. There is the option to create graphic or fine art prints as well as greetings cards, tote bags or t-shirts. Your tutor can show you lots of examples of screen prints at your first session to help you understand the different possibilities.
Who is my tutor?
Sophie McIntosh is the founder of Hey Ho Print Co. She has been printmaking for over 20 years and running the print studio for 7 years. She has taught at Kingston University and Leeds College of Art and Design.
Do I need to bring anything?
All the inks, papers, tools and equipment needed to make screen prints will be provided by Hey Ho Print Co. This will include paper or textile inks, photo sensitive emulsion and all the equipment needed to make screen prints and papers to print on. Students can bring their own papers or textiles along to produce extra prints.
If I can't attend can I get a refund?
We will refund you if you cancel no less than 14 days before the start of the first session of the course, after this time no refunds will be issued. By making a booking you are agreeing to our full course terms and conditions which can be found on our website.
